An approach for modelling spatial variability in permeability of cement-admixed soil

چکیده
Abstract This paper presents a framework for modelling the random variation in permeability cement-admixed soil based on binder content and thereby relating coefficient of to unconfined compressive strength clay. The strength–permeability relationship was subsequently implemented finite element method (RFEM). effects spatial both clays RFEM is illustrated using two examples concerning one-dimensional consolidation. Parametric studies considering different scale fluctuation configurations were performed. Results show that variability clay variable can significantly influence overall consolidation rate, especially when high. However, rates also depend largely prescribed scales fluctuation; cases where horizontally layered, stagnation pore pressure dissipation may occur due soft parts yielding.

Evaluating agricultural land management practices requires knowledge of soil spatial variability and understanding their relationships. Spatial distributions for fourteen soil physical and chemical properties were examined in a wheat field in Sorkhankalateh district, in Golestan province, Iran. 101 soil samples at the distances of 5m, 10m and 20m as nested grid were collected at the depth of 0-...

ABSTRACT- The information on the spatial properties of soil is vital to improve soil management and to increase the crop productivity. Geostatistical analysis technique is one of the most important methods for determining the spatial properties of soil. The aim of this study was to investigate spatial variability of soil chemical and physical attributes for field management in eastern Shiraz, I...

Spatial variability of atrazine dissipation in an allophanic soil.
The small-scale variability (0.5 m) of atrazine (6-chloro-N2-ethyl-N4-isopropyl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine) concentrations and soil water contents in a volcanic silt loam soil (Haplic Andosol, FAO system) was studied in an area of 0.1 ha. Descriptive and spatial statistics were used to analyse the data. On average we recovered 102% of the applied atrazine 2 h after the herbicide application (CV...
